Jan 26 "Crazy Week"
Wow so much has happened this week that I really have no idea where to
begin. To start with Isaac the one we have been working with so
closely, we found out this week while meeting with our bishop that he
likes to go around from different churches, learn about them and then
join them, our bishop has asked us for right now to just step back and
let him come to us when he is ready, he really is a good kid though.
But we have had some other really good things happen, a part member
family, the Hubberts we have been working with has a son that's 9 and
wants to be baptized, the only problem is he is way to energetic and
off the walls, so what we have been doing is we go over and throw the
football around with him for a while, then has a short little lesson
with him, his name is Jaquize, he's a pretty cool little kid. Then
there is another part member family that we are working with, Betty is
the mom and she was baptized about 6 months ago, she has 4 kids ages 9
and up to 16 that haven't been baptized by their own choice. But now
they are all thinking about it, you just can't push them at all or
else the will run the other way, so it will be in there own time which
we feel will be very soon. Then the rest of the week was spent
knocking doors and finding new investigators. Also this week I have
been working on my college application for BYU-Idaho and so far it has
come along pretty good, I have finished everything, essays and all. I
am now just waiting for my high school transcript and SAT scores to be
received, all has been taken care though. We will see how things turn
out with it. Then another thing that happened this week included the
Mullins family, their son BRANNON we baptized a year ago and the whole
family has been really good friends of mine, so about two weeks ago
his dad Terry was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 6 months
to live, then he was told 3 months, then three weeks. And last
Thursday he went into a coma, President Craig gave me permission to go
visit him and the family on Saturday since they are not to far away
from us, then yesterday he passed away. It was pretty sad to see
happen, it's the first time that someone close to me has passed away,
grandpa and grandma didn't really count, since they were older. But Ya
so that's the things that are going on here. I'm still with elder
Riley and the ward here is pretty good, one family the Gourleys feed
us all the time, their probably our favorites. But that's it, love ya

Jan 20 "Time is getting close"
Wow, didn't realize how quick things are going, this month I hit my 3
month mark for time
left, next thing you know I'll be with y'all, crazy huh. Well how did
our week go here this past week. It's been interesting for sure. We
went through and dropped half of our investigators which meant we had
to get our there and find a whole lot more, so needless to say we've
knocked a lot of doors this past week and handed out a lot of pass
along cards. The roughest day was Tuesday, we had district meeting and
I set a challenge for the whole district for each companionship to
hand out 30 mormon.org pass along cards that day, and for some reason
that day was filled with the most rejections in one day that I've had
my entire mission, no one wanted to talk or even take a card, but by
the end of the day the challenge was complete. And the rest of the
week was filled with finding as well. Isaac our investigator with a
baptism date has decided to push it back until next month. We are also
working with a couple part member families that want their children
baptized, so this month should be a could one. Also this past week we
had a mission conference with Elder Andersen from the 12. It was
really good, he talked a lot about faith and miracles and about Joseph
Smith, it was a pretty powerful conference. Oh and also there was
transfers this week, Elder Riley and I are staying together for
another transfer which is exciting.
Now as for some other investigators we are working with. One is Savorn
who we were teaching here but he moved back to Cambodia, this week we
were able to get in contact with him over face-book and are now trying
to get missionaries over there to see him, the only problem is we
don't think there is any close to him the nearest church is like a 2
hour drive. Another lady that we are visiting with is Dede, she loves
learning more and is excited to read the Book of Mormon, she's kinda
interesting though, she doesn't really like the New Testament only
believe Mathew and John and Revelations are the only true books within
it, but we are working on that. She is a really nice old lady. Well
that's about it. Love y'all and be safe.

Jan 12 "Apostle #4"
Well yet another full week filled with stories, but should I share,
hmmm I don't know. I hear I would be getting any emails today since
someone cut the Internet cable. But I suppose I will be the good son
and write a little. So this past week I went on three more exchanges
with other missionaries, one was up to at. Augustine with the zone
leader which was pretty cool, we built a ramp for a lady and it
actually turned out not to bad. Then I came back to my area and went
on two more exchanges, things went good, and we taught quite a bit
this week, Isaac the one who's getting baptized soon, kinda
disappeared from us for the week, but last night we were able to talk
with him on Facebook and he's just been really busy but apparently
he's been going to seminary in the morning and loves it, made some
really good friendships with some of the kids. Also this week Brandon
one of our investigators decided he wants to be baptized as well on
February 22nd which is pretty cool. There is lots of amazing things
going on here in our district and our area. Loving life, and on
Wednesday Elder Andersen will be here and the whole mission will be
gathering together to meet with him, it should be pretty cool, he will
make number 4 for how many apostles I've meet. Well I love y'all, have
fun and be safe.

Jan 5 "New Year"
Had a good week, been really busy, since the end of the transfer is
coming up and I've pushed companion exchanges off till now, so I had
to go on 4 of them this week, all were pretty good, it was weird being
away from my companion for 4 straight days, makes you kinda miss him.
Now this week I have 3 left, time to get them done. Well for New
Year's Eve I was with another missionary and we just had some fun that
night, spent time with some members and then we stayed up till
midnight to welcome in the new year. As for missionary work this week
we did pretty good. Isaac is getting baptized on the 24th and is
stoked. John has finished reading the Book of Mormon and wants to get
baptized it is just going to take some time, since he needs to quite
smoking and get married. Loving life and doing good, hope y'all are
enjoying the new year, looking forward to seeing pictures of the polar
bear plung. Love y'all
